We participated in the "JNTO Visit Japan Travel Trade" event, held in three cities in Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor Bahru.
It was impressive to see so many travel agencies — many of which already offer Japan travel packages — eagerly attending the event. They were interested not only in the "Golden Route" (Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Kyoto, and Osaka) but also in promoting the lesser-known charms of various regions across Japan as part of their travel packages.
The number of visitors to Japan from Malaysia increased by more than 20% compared to last year and the year before. Furthermore, direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Fukuoka Airport will resume starting next month.
Demand for travel to Japan from the Malaysian market is set to grow even further. We will continue our efforts to attract visitors to destinations across Japan.
